Talent Engagement Partners online information practices
Our Commitment to Privacy
Talent Engagement Partners ("TEP," "we," "us," or "our") provides hospitality recruiting and consulting services connecting job candidates with employers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through talentengagementpartners.com (the "Site") and our related recruiting activities, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you. It applies to job candidates, hiring-client contacts, and general Site visitors alike, with role-specific detail called out below.
The Information We Collect
General Site Visitors
When you browse the Site, we automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, and pages visited. We use this information in aggregate to monitor and improve Site performance and is not, on its own, used to identify you personally.
Job Candidates
If you submit a resume, apply for a role, or otherwise engage with us as a candidate, we may collect: your name, contact details (email, phone, mailing address), employment and education history, compensation expectations and preferences, professional references, LinkedIn or other professional profile information, and any other information you choose to provide in connection with a search or application. We do not request Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, or financial account information through the Site; if such information is ever needed later in a hiring process, it will be collected directly by the hiring employer or its designated background-check provider, not by TEP.
Hiring Clients & Prospective Clients
If you contact us as an employer or hiring manager, we collect business contact information (name, title, company, email, phone) and details about the role(s) you are seeking to fill.
Information You Voluntarily Provide
Across all of the above, you may also choose to share additional details about your professional interests, career goals, or communication preferences to help us tailor our outreach and services to you.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Evaluate candidates for, and match them to, relevant job opportunities with our hiring clients;
- Share candidate information with a specific hiring client, with your knowledge, when we believe you may be a fit for a role they are seeking to fill;
- Communicate with you about opportunities, scheduling, and the status of a search or application;
- Respond to inquiries from hiring clients and prospective clients;
- Improve and personalize the Site and our services;
- Send you information about other TEP services, market insights, or opportunities we believe may interest you; and
- Meet legal, contractual, and recordkeeping obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share candidate information with a hiring client without first having engaged with you about the opportunity. You may opt out of marketing or market-research communications from us at any time using the instructions in those communications or by contacting us directly.
Service Providers We Use
Like most recruiting firms, TEP relies on a small number of trusted third-party platforms to operate. These providers process personal information on our behalf, under their own privacy and security terms, solely to help us deliver our services:
- Applicant Tracking System (ATS) / CRM (Recruiterflow) — to organize candidate and client records and communications.
- Contact data enrichment (AIRA) — to verify or supplement professional contact details for sourcing purposes.
- Professional networking and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter) — to identify and reach candidates.
- Business phone, SMS, and call-recording services (RingCentral / RingEX) — to manage calls and text messages related to recruiting activity. Calls may be recorded for quality and recordkeeping purposes, as permitted by law.
- Productivity and email hosting (Microsoft 365 — Outlook, OneDrive, Teams) — to store and manage documents and correspondence.
We require that these providers maintain reasonable safeguards for the information they process on our behalf, and we do not authorize them to use your information for their own independent marketing purposes.
Cookies and Analytics
The Site may use cookies or similar technologies (such as Google Analytics / LinkedIn Insight Tag / Meta Pixel) to understand how visitors use the Site and to measure the effectiveness of our outreach. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may limit some Site functionality.
Data Retention
We retain candidate information for as long as reasonably necessary to consider you for current and future opportunities, and are consistent with our record-keeping obligations to hiring clients, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or applicable law requires a different period. We retain hiring-client information for the duration of our engagement and as needed for our business records.
Your Privacy Rights and Choices
You may at any time:
- Request a copy or summary of the personal information we hold about you;
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information;
- Ask us to delete your information, except where we need to retain it to complete a transaction, satisfy a legal obligation, or maintain records of a completed placement or engagement;
- Opt out of marketing and market-research communications; and
- Withdraw consent for us to share your candidate profile with a specific hiring client (before it has been shared).
If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, or another state with its own comprehensive privacy law, you may have additional statutory rights (such as the right to know, delete, or opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information); TEP does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect the personal information we hold, including access controls and secure hosting through our service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
The Site and our recruiting services are directed to working professionals and are not intended for, or knowingly directed at, individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
